What’s Lagree?

Lagree Fitness in North Tustin - The Haute RoomWith Lagree fitness, you will be working on a machine called the Megaformer. The Haute Room uses the latest model, the M3S. Lagree is all about slow, controlled movements working your slow-twitch muscle fibers to failure, creating lean muscle mass and torching fat and calories in the process.

The classes are 50 minutes long and will give you an incredibly challenging, full-body workout that’s different every time, which equals fast results and no plateaus. There are hundreds of movement combinations possible on the Megaformer, and resistance ranges from 8 lbs to 150 lbs, ensuring a great workout for everyone, from novice to elite.

New? No problem. You can do this. No prior experience or coordination is required. We won’t ask you to do any fancy moves or twists, just simple moves on the Megaformer that our instructors will guide you through. (All the moves are based on these Three Essential Movements.)

Experienced? Yep, you can do it too. And don’t worry – you’ll get a killer workout. Matter of fact, we’d be willing to bet that this will quickly become one of the best workouts of your life.

Is Lagree the same as Pilates?

Nope! Pilates was the jumping off point for Lagree founder, Sebastien Lagree. It has been called “Pilates Plus” and “Pilates on crack”, but Lagree is actually a totally different workout. It’s still low-impact (making injuries a very low risk), but it goes at a much higher intensity, it uses resistance and counter-resistance to strengthen the muscles, and it gets the heart rate up to incorporate cardio into the workout. It’s superior to Pilates on so many levels.
